About the CureCenter
Dr. Craig Backs was 53 years old, obese, and on medication to reduce his cholesterol. He thought all was fine until he had a Carotid Intima Media Thickness ultrasound that showed his arterial plaque. He asked, “What am I missing?” It turns out, he was missing a lot. “This ultrasound confirmed what I suspected. I have atherosclerosis, the same disease that caused heart attacks in many family members. I started looking for more options. It turned out there was much more I could do for myself and my patients,” says Dr. Backs. Out of this realization, the CureCenter (formerly known as the Center for Prevention) and CureCoach were born.
